EVIE WONDERS “HOW DO YOU FEEL MELBOURNE ?”

On the 16th of March 15, 2010 Evie offered Melbourne the chance to wash away their emotions on a series of feeling boards placed around Melbourne. Each board asked them what first came to mind in relation to a specific word, and encouraged Melbournians to communicate these feelings on the pop up blackboards.

People reactions to secrets, fears , wants, loves, and hates, then acted as the catalyst for Evie to document Melbournians true emotions. With the blackboards full, and the chalk buckets empty Evie transported the boards to it ‘s creative hub “the dansk gallery” at 121 Chapel St Winsor on Thursday the 25 of March at 6pm to display their findings. Patrons where then given the opportunity to do the same on a series of massive boards in the gallery.

“With our new creative hub “the dansk gallery” we really want to make the public the art, not just artists themselves. This installation can offer any Melbournian the chance to be in our exhibition simply by communicating the way they feel on one of the feeling boards” said a Evie member.
